Don't believe everything you hear, especially when it comes to Taylor Swift and rumored on-again, off-again friend Selena Gomez. The "Shake It Off "singer is denying that the two have ever been in a feud. She is claiming that the besties just let the tabloids have that story even thought it wasn't true.

According to a new interview in Rolling Stone magazine, the 24-year-old got pretty candid about a lot of things including love, her drinking habits, and even her friendships, which included talking about Gomez.

"People think they have my relationships all mapped out. There were all these blogs, like, 'Are they feuding? Are they fighting?'" the singer explains of her tabloid drama friendship with Selena. "Meanwhile Selena and I would be on the phone that night, laughing about it. We let them have that one."

It was reported earlier this year that the two had a falling out about Selena's on-again, off-again boyfriend Justin Bieber. However, it seems now that a rift between the two never existed, at least that's the story that Taylor is sticking to.

It's been reported that Swift isn't a huge fan of The Biebs, even avoiding questions about him during the 2013 Billboard Music Awards, but that seemed to never have had an impact on the Gomez/Swift friendship.

A friend of Taylor's told E! News back in March, during the time of the feud rumors that Taylor always thought of Gomez like a little sister and that she "has not cut her off."

Gomez, also had nothing but nice things to say about her bestie Taylor as he told E! back in 2012, "Taylor's amazing. She's so smart and sweet and humble. So when I see her after everything she's been through and she just wants to go home an bake cookies with me that to me is awesome."
