'The Knick' Episode 5 'They Capture The Heat' Preview Photos & Videos [SPOILERS] Gallinger Totally Infected His Baby With Rat Blood, You Guys

Episode 5 of Cinemax's The Knick, entitled "They Capture the Heat," marks the middle of Steven Soderbergh's debut series' first season. With the conclusion to last week's episode opening up a lot of relationships and questions, we're sure we'll be in for a wild ride this week. (SPOILERS to follow)

Form the looks of our header image above, nurse Lucy probably hasn't had enough of following Thackery around, namely finding his Chinatown cocaine den. Will the lovely, innocent nurse find herself getting into trouble because of this? Or maybe something worse?

Thanks to a preview clip from Cinemax, we also see some more interaction between Thackery and Edwards - this time with Algernon's parents! This clip and some more advanced images show us that his mother has some sort of problem that, thankfully, John fixes. Perhaps this adds some more strain to the Doctors' relationship - or maybe lubricates it towards friendship?

Speaking of Edwards, he's trying to further his basement practices, but (as we can see from the following clip) he runs into a lot of distractions and close calls in regards to being caught:

One of the biggest questions of last week was whether or not Gallinger - being a not-so succinct physician - managed to infect his daughter with ... well, rat blood. As you can see from the following picture, he did.
