Ellie Goulding Sends Well Wishes To Prince William And Kate Middleton On Their Second Pregnancy

"Lights" singer Ellie Goulding is the latest star to send her well wishes to the royal couple, Prince William and Kate Middleton, on their second baby. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge announced that they are expecting their second child on September 8 and celebrities near and far have been sending their congratulations.

"Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Cambridge is expecting their second child," according to a statement from Clarence House. "The Queen and members of both families are delighted with the news," the Los Angeles Times reported.

Ellie, who is close friends with Prince Harry (William's younger brother), revealed exclusively to Us Weekly, that she sent the happy couple her congratulations a long time ago.

"I sent my congratulations already because I'm friends with Harry. I think I may be seeing them all this week pending on how Kate is feeling," Ellie told the publication.

With Kate's continued morning sickness she hasn't been attending many events with her husband. Instead, she's been staying home at Kensington Palace with their son, George (who turned one-year-old on July 22)

"I just think it's beautiful. They're an incredible couple and I'm sure they're incredible parents. I'm just very happy for them," Ellie added.

The "Burn" singer isn't a stranger amongst the royal family. In April 2011 she performed for the newlyweds at their royal wedding reception.

"I talked to William and Kate quite a bit [at the reception]. They're just a really awesome couple, lovely people, so I understand why people are fascinated by them," the 27-year-old told Marie Claire UK in January for their February issue.

"It was a really beautiful night - but then, I haven't been to many weddings," she added.
