Dylan McKay is back on TV... well, Luke Perry is back and this time he will be playing an FBI agent.

The Beverly Hills, 90210 alum is joining CBS' newest CSI spinoff, CSI: Cyber, TV Line exclusively learned on Sunday. Luke will be playing the role of Nick Dalton, a former FBI agent. "After a classified falling out, Dalton set his sights on becoming a 'futurist' for a private sector," TV Line reported.

"According to a Cyber insider, Dalton will hold many secrets to Avery's backstory," the publication revealed. Luke's character is a potentially recurring role that will help reveal who Special Agent Avery Ryan (played by Patricia Arquette) really is.

According to TV Guide, "CSI: Cyber, a spin-off of CSI, follows Avery Ryan as she heads the FBI's Cyber Crime Division, which investigates online crimes with consequences that play out in the real world."

The new series, which is inspired by real-life cyber psychologist Mary Aiken, will also star Shad Moss (aka Bow Wow) who will play Brody "Baby Face" Nelson (a hacker).

"Bow Wow is a gifted young actor who will have the responsibility, through his character, to set an example for young people who watch the show to 'do what's right' even when you know 'nothing but wrong. It will be a redemption story and a cautionary tale all wrapped into one," series creator Anthony Zuiker said in a statement.

Dawson's Creek alum James Van Der Beek will also star in the new crime drama as FBI agent Elijah Mundo and 24's Peter MacNicol will play Assistant Director Stavros Sifter.

Both Jerry Bruckheimer and Jonathan Littman will be executive producers on the drama. The three writers on the project include Carol Mendelsohn, Anthony Zuiker and Ann Donahue.

CSI: Cyber will air on Sundays starting midseason.
