The city of Cleveland hasn't had much to shout about, especially when it's come to sports, but that might be about to change. The Browns have been looking for a quarterback since 1999, and in Johnny Manziel and Brian Hoyer, they have two, at long last. On top of that, rapper Machine Gun Kelly has been holding it down for his city for several years, so it was fitting that he got the chance to perform for a near 70,000 crowd. It seems MGK may of been an inspiration as the Browns battle throughout the game, coming back with a late field goal to down the New Orleans Saints 26-24.
MGK, who grew up in Shaker Heights, announced he'd be doing the halftime show, and he truly delivered. He made a rap remix called "Rock & Roll (Dawg Pound Remix)," which he performed alongside some of his other well known tracks. After years of "repping" Cleveland on his own, could Kelly finally be getting some help from the sports teams?
MGK has often made references to his beloved city, and their sports teams, but he may finally have something to shout about. In Manziel, the Browns have a man that everybody wants to watch, however, in Hoyer they have a home town hero, and one who's getting the job done for their team, as shown with his game-winning drive.
Better times appear to be on the cards, but something suggests that Manziel, Hoyer and MGK have much bigger moments heading their way.
