Kim Kardashian took to social media in defense of her hubby Kanye West after headlines were made when the rapper misjudged a wheelchair bound fan to stand up during his concert at Quantas Credit Union Arena in Sydney Australia.
"What an amazing Australian tour!" Kardashian said on Instagram. "Its frustrating that something so awesome could be clouded by lies in the media. Kanye never asked anyone in a wheel chair to stand up & the audience videos show that. He asked for everyone to stand up & dance UNLESS they were in a wheel chair."
The reality stars statement was followed by a list of the following hasty hashtags: #JustWantedEveryoneToHaveAFunNight #TheMediaTwistsThings
A concertgoer told the Daily Mail that the rapper said, "I can't do this show until everybody stand up. Unless you got a handicap pass and you get special parking and s-t."
Before continuing his act, the rapper waited for one last audience member to stand, until sending over a bodyguard over to see if the one person still siting was really handicap. In the meantime, audience members were telling West that he was in a wheelchair.
The misunderstanding that caused worldwide headlines lead to an outraged Kanye.
"They go this thing where they want the masses, people who never even heard one of my albums, to somehow read a headline that reads negative and to think I'm a bad person or something," he said. "I'm a married Christian man with a family. At my concerts, I make sure everybody has as good of a time as possible... Pick a new target, because I'm not one of those dumb ass artists you're used to."
