It looks like Lana Del Rey will be singing the blue as the songstress just had to cancel her European tour dates for this coming week. The singer was set to make her way around Europe to support her latest album Ultraviolence, but it seems that a mystery illness is preventing the singer from taking the stage.
The news was reported to MTV by Lana's label Universal Music, who released the following statement:
"For medical reasons independent of our will, the artist has been forced to cancel all promotional activities planned in Europe over the coming days."
No news yet on whether or not this will affect Del Rey's performance that was scheduled for this weekend at the Music Midtown Festival in Atlanta.
There is hope however for fans who have already purchased tickets to the European shows. Lana plans to reschedule all of the dates that she is missing out on, due to her illness, for a later time during the year.
According to E! News, Lana has been relatively private within the last couple of weeks on social media. The last thing the star posted to her Twitter account was for her Ultraviolence music video, which was released on July 30.
It is also speculated that Lana was suppose to sing at the reception for George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin's wedding, which is being rumored to take place during this month. However, with the sudden sickness who knows if Lana will be able to perform for the newlyweds.
Get well soon Lana!!!
