Basketball Wives: L.A. reality star, Brandi Maxiell is slamming down divorce rumors in a recent statement and says that she will always try to make her marriage work with her NBA athlete hubby.
The reality star said in a statement obtained by Bossip.com, "Contrary to published reports, rumors that Jason and I are heading for divorce are false. There's no public record of us filing for dissolution of marriage. It doesn't exist. What do exist are two imperfect people who are committed to making it work through the highs and lows; joys and sorrows; and sickness and health. Jason and I just celebrated our fifth wedding anniversary, and although our marriage isn't perfect, we're working on it." She added, "As a ovarian cancer survivor, instead of talking about my marriage, I would rather spend the time, raising awareness about ovarian cancer. Not all cancer is pink, and September is National Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month. I'm happy to share my story to save lives from this 'silent killer."
Tuesday, MediaTakeOut.com reported, the reality star received confirmation from her private investigator that the NBA star was allegedly carrying on an affair with her co-star, Sundy Carter's friend. Brandi is reportedly expected to dish about the details in the upcoming season of BWLA.
In a recent Instagram post, Brandi posted screen shots of singer Mary J Blige's "Hurt Again" captioning the post, "Can't sleep listening to Mary J... #hurt #again #been #there #ive #done #that."
In July Brandi hinted about some marital problems with husband after posting Instagram videos of Beyoncé's "resentment" performance while "On The Run" tour.
In a series of videos the reality star posted she captioned it while personalizing the number of years she's been married writing, "Number wrong but same song...14...Part 1 of my 4... #feelingBthisMorning."
In March 2014, the reality star revealed to MStars News exclusively that Jason cheated prior to their marriage, and says that the pair are monogamous and will not break up, "I don't condone cheating at all. It's unacceptable. It did happen early on in my relationship, but August 1, 2009 I made a vow to my husband and to God, for better or for worse, in sickness and in health, and I have known my husband since I was 16/17-years-old and there's nothing, no one in this world that can come in between me and him. And we have son together." She added, "I pray that I don't have an issue with that, but for better or for worse is my philosophy."
