Once Upon A Time is right around the corner and we couldn't be more excited to return to the fairytale world of Storybrooke. With the new introduction of the world of Frozen into the land of magic, we might just be more excited then we've ever been about a show coming back to our TV screens.
The Hollywood Reporter sat down with co-creators and the executive producers behind the series Adam Horowitz and Eddy Kitsis to talk about what is happening in the series when it returns in 10 days.
By now everyone knows that the Frozen storyline will be a main theme throughout the new season including the introduction of characters Elsa (Georgina Haig), Anna (Elizabeth Lail) and Kristoff (Scott Michael Foster).
The guys sat down with THR to talk about the new storyline and the pressures they feel about doing it justice.
"There's always pressure when you're making a show to try to outdo yourself, and I think in this case there's a huge amount of- not just pressure, but responsibility that we feel," Horowitz explained to the news site. "These are beloved characters who we want to do justice and we're doing our best and we're very excited about what we've come up with."
As far as how Elsa will make her debut into the land of Storybrooke, the creators promise that there will be ice.
"I think she's a stranger in a strange land. Elsa is from Arendelle, and she's never seen a car before," Kitsis stated. "We know that when Elsa gets frightened, ice spikes appear- so imagine when she sees this world for the first time."
While we have seen Regina fight with other powerful characters in the past, THR questioned the creators on whether or not Elsa and Regina would be the ones butting heads during this new season.
"It's hard to answer your question without spoiling, but I'll try," Horowitz explains. "When Elsa arrives, it signifies the start of a mystery that needs to be explored and answered. And the repercussions of that mystery reach out and touch everyone, and you'll see it affects everyone from Regina to Emma to Rumpelstiltskin."
They also talk about Emma's relationship with Captain Hook, explaining that while the two may never be in a "normal relationship" that they are definitely working towards that.
"There's no chance that Emma - the daughter of Snow White and Prince Charming - and Captain Hook will ever be a normal couple, but their feelings obviously reached a new boiling point at the end of last season," Horowitz explained. "And we're going to continue to explore those feelings, and we're going to continue to explore how they can or can't get closer."
Tune into Once Upon A Time when the fourth season premiere on September 28 at 8 pm on ABC.
