Ron Washington has been a household name in Texas, and in the MLB for years to come, but it seems that his personal life got in the way of both his marriage and his job, coaching the Texas Rangers. The Rangers have flirted with a World Series win, and after a busy offseason, they were tipped to compete again, but they've had an appalling season, with Washington leaving, and today he's revealed he was cheating on his wife of 42 years. It seems like he took his eye off the ball, and for that he's quite possibly lost his wife and his baseball team.

Washington left the Rangers recently, and he's insisted it was because of cheating. He explained "I was not true to my wife after 42 years." He continued, "I made a mistake, and I am embarrassed. I was not true to my wife after 42 years. I broke her trust. I am here today to own that mistake. All I ask is for your forgiveness and understanding."

The Rangers are now stuck with a huge payroll, a lot of inside drama, and they know longer have the coach they loved and trusted, until this season anyway. There's rumours that he wasn't the same guy this year, appearing to have his mind elsewhere, which is why the Rangers have struggled on the field, and now this revelation has proved this to be true.

Can Washington rebuild his life and career, and can the Texas Rangers bounce back next season?
