The MLS is preparing to launch for it's twentieth season, and they're not prepared to stick to their old ways. That's right, they're plotting their way to the top, aiming to take over from the English Premier League and (Spain) La Liga, which are considered the two best leagues in world football. Major League Soccer today announced more of its rebranding plans, and one key aspect is their new logo, which they unveiled today. As seen in the picture, there's a modern logo, and one that will be adapted for each and every team.

The new logo is a shield with a tail, and the traditional MLS logo is no more. Many had slated the MLS for its very old styled logo, but now they're moving with the times, hoping the standard of their league follows. The MLS was considered a joke years back, with players publicly criticizing it, but now some of the best players in the world are keen to play there, and the MLS are looking to take that one step further.

Many of the best players in the world currently play in La Liga and the EPL, but they choose to finish their career in USA. The weather is often nice, the money is better, the taxation is easier to handle, so why wouldn't they want to play there? Many players are using it as a payday at the end of their career, but the MLS are getting serious about trying to make their league the one that every star wants to play in.

Despite the logo being a small stepping stone, it's a start, and it cannot help them in the modernization of their league.
