'Pitch Perfect 2' Spoilers- Elizabeth Banks Reveals Plot Of 'Pitch Perfect' Sequel

Warm up your vocal chords because the Barden Bellas are about to get an encore. The girls of Pitch Perfect are back for Pitch Perfect 2 and we have just learned some spoilers about the new sequel from star and director of the film Elizabeth Banks herself.

Yahoo Movies sat down with Banks to talk all things acapella and she revealed some spoilers about the new film including the fact that it will take place during Becca (Anna Kendrick), Fat Amy (Rebel Wilson), and Jesse's (Skylar Astin) senior year of college.

"They're coming to the end of their time as Bellas and figuring out how to sort of leave the nest and the comfort of each other's friendship and figure out what they're going to do with the rest of their lives," Banks revealed of the storyline for the follow up movie.

While we have already received news that Kendrick, Wilson, and Astin and the rest of the gang are going to be in the movie, Banks also explained that real life acapella groups like Pentatonix, Filharmonic, and Penn Masala will all be making appearances in the movie.

"I can confirm all are in the movie, and they're amazing," the director explained. "They do all their own singing and dancing. It's all about authenticity in the acapella world. We really want to honor that and honor the people who are really doing it out there who we're inspired by when we make the movie."

The flick is set to hit theaters on May 15, 2015.
