'Dancing With the Stars' Judge Julianne Hough Outs Contestant Jonathan Bennett As Gay

Dancing With the Stars might have just premiered its 19^th season but it already looks like new judge Julianne Hough is making some waves with some of the contestants on the new season especially star Jonathan Bennett. Hough stirred up some drama when she appeared on Extra and confirmed that the Mean Girls actor is gay.

The actor has never officially made a statement about his sexuality and it looks like Hough has now beaten him to the punch, according to Gay Starz New. When she was talking to Extra host Mario Lopez she revealed that she thought that Bennett was hitting on her, but realized that nothing could happen since he was gay.

"He tweeted me last year and was said, like, I had a nice butt, but he also tagged my trainer," Hough explained. "And so I was like, Oh, he's hitting on me. I should try to go on a date with him."

The host of the show, Lopez, then asked if the two ended up going on that date, to which Julianne responded, "he's gay," before adding "I was like, that's not gonna work."

Bennett who has also starred in films like Cheaper by the Dozen 2 and Lovewrecked has been previously linked to actor Matt Dallas who publicly came out a few years ago.

The 33-year-old actor stated that he took on the reality series role because it was a favorite of his parents who both passed away during the last three years.  

The Dancing With the Stars contestant has yet to comment on Hough's outing.
