As the Breaking Bad marathon continues on AMC, this is the perfect opportunity to pick out our favorite scenes from the award-winning crime drama. Here are the top 5 best episodes from RJ Mitte as the meth kingpin Water White (Bryan Cranton)'s innocent and faithful son, Walter White Jr.
Previously, we did a list about the top 5 best tough-guy moments from Hank Schrader, played by Dean Norris, picked out the best episodes starring Bryan Cranston, Aaron Paul, and Bob Odenkirk as the chemistry teacher gone bad, his junkie sidekick, and his sleazy lawyer. Now it's time to put the spotlight on Mitte's funniest and most dramatic performances.
5) Season 1: Pilot
Much like his character on the TV show, Mitte has mild cerebral palsy. Using the experience from his childhood, Mitte imitated how he was fitted with leg braces and walked around in crutches.
4) Season 1:...And The Bags In The River
This is a hilarious scene between Norris and Mitte. Mistakingly thinking his nephew is smoking pot, Hank takes Walt Jr. to meet the junkie prostitute, Wendy. Instead of teaching him the bad effects of drugs, Hank ends up the butt of many jokes.
3) Season 5: To'hajiilee
At the car wash, Walt Jr. is in awe of Saul (Odenkirk) because it's like meeting with a celebrity. Saul is hysterical as he mentions, "Don't drink and drive but if you do, call me." The scene ends with Walt Jr. telling his mother, "You didn't tell him, 'Have an A1 day.'"
2) Season 3: Salud
Walter has just been beaten up by Pinkman (Paul), which forces him to miss his son's birthday. Walt Jr. actually spends his birthday helping treat his father's bloody bruises. They have a heart-to-heart talk, both in tears, as Walter reveals he doesn't want his son to see him at his worse.
1) Season 5: Ozymandias
In the third-to-last episode, Walt Jr. discovers his father's secret life of crime. When Walter Sr. takes the bloody knife from Skylar (Anna Gunn), he protects his mother and calls the police on his cell. Walt Jr. did what no one else could, not even Gustavo Fring; he put an end to his father's meth empire.
The Breaking Bad Binge Marathon starts at 5pm through 1am Sundays on AMC. Readers, what's your favorite Walter White Jr. episode?
