With the premiere of the CW series just a few weeks away, the question remains, how many characters from DC Comics Universe will make their way to the live-action The Flash series? Will Barry Allen, played by Grant Gustin, meet Wally West, also known to fans as Kid Flash?

In the comics, Wally West is Barry's teenage nephew, who also finds himself caught in a freak lab accident. Having the same super-speed powers, Wally donned a bright yellow costume and joined the superhero team, Teen Titans, alongside Robin and Cyborg. When Barry died saving the world in Crisis on Infinite Earths, Wally put on his uncle's red costume and became the new scarlet speedster.

According to Comicbookmovie, who were attending Payley Fest, executive producers Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg were on hand to discuss the show. With Iris West (Candice Patton) playing a major role, will Wally show up in the series too?

Berlanti responds, "We made the Wests African-American so that we could head in that direction."

Kreisberg then adds, "When DC reintroduced Wally in the New 52, he was African-American."

In the DC Universe, Barry is older and more serious, while Wally is more of a punkish rebel. We will have to wait and see what their dynamic relationship will be like.

As mentioned here, another co-star from John Wesley Shipp's run on The Flash will be showing up on the CW show. Actress Amanda Pays, who played Dr. Tina Mcgee in the early '90s CBS show, will reprise her role as the same character. This time though, she will play a rival to S.T.A.R. Labs.

The Flash will premiere on the CW October 7. Readers, are you excited to see The Flash meet Kid Flash?
