'The Vampire Diaries' Season 6 Spoilers- Caroline & Enzo Romance? Plus Damon & Stefan Will Reunite- Get All The Details

We are getting ready to sink our teeth into brand-new episodes of The Vampire Diaries, and we couldn't be happier about it. The CW series will premiere in a little over two weeks after probably one of the longest summer waits of our lives. With the cliffhanger, we aren't sure what to expect from season 6, but fans don't need to worry as we have learned a few spoilers about our favorite gang from Mystic Falls.

When we last left off, Elena (Nina Dobrev), Damon (Ian Somerhalder), Stefan (Paul Wesley), Caroline (Candice Accola), and the rest of the crew, were dealing with the collapse of the Other Side, with Damon and Bonnie fading from existence in the process. However, when we come back to the series viewers will still get to see a lot of their favorite bad boy Salvator bro.

According to E! News, who spoke to Caroline Dries, the executive producer behind the series, Damon will be having a reunion with his brother Stefan during the new season... at least through flashbacks.

"There are flashbacks coming up," Caroline explains. "We will see an era we haven't seen before in flashbacks and it will help tie together a bunch of storylines." She also mentions that the fourth episode of the season will be focused solely around the Salvator brothers.

Also, while we previous debunked the possible Stefan/Caroline romance rumors, there still might be hope for Caroline in the love department this season. Dries states that Enzo, who is still reeling from the death of Damon, will start to cozy up to Caroline during the new season.

"We'll continue to have the dynamic between the two," the producer explains of Caroline and Enzo.
