Sarah Drew covers the October/November issue of Fit Pregnancy and the expecting mother gushes to the magazine about how empowering her second pregnancy is and details life with her adorable 2-year-old son.
The Grey's Anatomy actress is already a proud mother to Micah Emmanuel. However, proud moments were very thin when she was in her first pregnancy with Micah, "The first time it wasn't just the physicality, it was the emotional weight, too," she reveled. "I was mourning the end of a massive chapter in my life...I knew I'd have to sacrifice a lot more than I was used to sacrificing, but I didn't know how it was going to look and I didn't know if I was going to be a good mom."
If learning anything from being on set of Grey's Anatomy, the actress will surely know how to bandage a boo boo and aide in taking a temperature!
Drew married Peter Lanfer, a lecturer at UCLA, in June 2002.
In Drew's first pregnancy she even got great advice form co-star Ellen Pompeo, who gave birth to her own daughter, Stella, in 2009. "I got great advice about nausea from Ellen Pompeo because I am still dealing with nausea, which is no fun," then-pregnant Drew told Us. "She's a wealth of information: She's done all the research and looked into every possible way of doing things."
However this time around in Drew's second pregnancy she knows the delightful outcome of having your own children. "This time around, it's been really delightful...And yeah, it's changed my life, but I'm really happy with the way things have changed. Your desires and the things that you love shift," She told Fit Pregnancy "The emergence of a child opens up this well of love that you just never knew you were able to have. And it's empowering."
The star has opted not to find out the gender of the baby, stating that. "It doesn't matter what the sex is! You're just in love and that's how it is."
