Ever wanted to know what happened to Cady Heron after she graduated from high school? Well your wish might soon be granted by Lindsay Lohan. It might be 10 years since Mean Girls debuted, but Lohan is not giving up on her dreams of starring in a sequel.
The actress who is currently starring in David Mamets West End Production of Speed-The-Plow talked about possibly teaming up again with Tina Fey in a sequel to the popular 2004 film.
"People really love the movie. How do you top that?" the star explained to Time Out London. "I was with Tina Fey the other day and I said we should do another Mean Girls, like an older version where they're all housewives and they're all cheating."
"That would be really funny," Lindsay says, giving herself props for the idea. "I'll harass Tina to write it."
We would personally love to see Cady Haron cheating on Aaron Samuels with Kevin G from the mathletes in the projection room above the auditorium, but who knows if the movie will actually get made.
The first film went on to make $129 million at the worldwide box-office and has since become a cult classic, earning Lohan three Teen Choice Award and an MTV Movie Award in the process. It's not wonder that the star would want to revisit the glory days.
However, it seems like Lohan's idea has already been taken, as early this year there was a spinoff reportedly in the worlds for a film called Mean Moms, which was set to star Jennifer Aniston. There was a release date of May 2015 attached to the project, but the project has since been pulled from that release date, so their might be hope for Lohan still.
