Jeremy Renner certainly has been dong his fair share to promote The Avengers: Age of Ultron and he did so again in an interview with Access Hollywood.
Fans and critics praised Joss Whedon's first superhero blockbuster The Avengers for its snappy dialogue, balanced characters and exciting plot, and Renner teased that everything fans loved about the first movie would be turned up in the sequel.
"I think everything that worked in the first one is exponentially gonna be better in this one," Renner said. "The comedic relief, action is gonna be bigger...There is more time spent with all the Avengers together as a unit on and off the clock if you will. Which is actually really fun. A lot of secrets are revealed and more secrets are imposed."
Access Hollywood also questioned why Renner's character, Hawkeye, does not have any superpowers. "He never did and nor has Black Widow. They just have a high skill-set," he said. "I think that is why I wanted to play Hawkeye anyway. I could relate to that and understand a guy who has a high skill-set. I get that. I could never do what [Chris] Hemsworth does [as Thor], flying around with a hammer and sell that. He can do it, but I can't. There is a lot more Hawkeye in [Age of Ultron] too, so it's great fun."
One of the few complaints about The Avengers was the use of Hawkeye, who spent much of the movie under the spell of Loki (Tom Hiddleston), so it's good to hear Renner will get a chance to do more in the sequel.
