Like father, like daughter. Chef Gordon Ramsay's daughter Matilda is quickly following in her father's footsteps when it comes to cooking. The 12-year-old girl has officially landed her own cooking show.
According to Daily Mail, Matilda, or Tilly as she likes to be called, will star in her own cooking show for children. Tilly's show titled Tillywood will air on CBeebies, which is a children's channel.
Tilly's father Gordon is known as a food icon, creating and starring in numerous Fox cooking shows. In June the chef and TV personality revealed that his show Kitchen Nightmares was going to be coming to an end.
"I'm currently filming 4 new episodes of Costa Del Nightmares, for Channel 4 which will be my last. I've had a phenomenal 10 years making 123 episodes, 12 season, shot across to continents, watched by tens of millions of people and sold to over 150 countries. It's been a blast but it's time to call it a day," Gordon announced on his personal website.
Now that he is stepping away from Kitchen Nightmares, he will have more time to spend with his family and more time to focus on Tilly's new show, which his production company, One Potato Two Potato, is producing.
"It was just fascinating watching her, saying: 'Dad's food is posh, but my food is real food,' and showing this to her friends,'" Gordon said to the Daily Mail. "She has a TV program at 12. She has all the makings of a great chef. If you had put me in front of a camera at age 12, even then, I would have told you to f--k off."
Gordon couldn't be more proud of his daughter and all that she has already accomplished. Tilly's show will premiere in 2015, but Gordon is already looking further into the future. "In 20 years time, I want to have fun with Matilda in the kitchen, not sit there with my Zimmer frame, breathing oxygen and worrying about my heart bypass," he said.
The 47-year-old chef can still be seen on MasterChef, MasterChef Junior, Hell's Kitchen and Hotel Hell.
