It has been a long, hard road, but it looks like Teen Mom 2 star Jenelle Evans might finally be on the right track.
Things seem to be turning around for the reality star, especially after kicking a heroin addiction, so much so that she might get back the one thing she lost because of her drug addiction: her 5-year-old son Jace.
The 22-year-old's mother Barbara currently has custody of Jace and has had guardianship since 2009, when Jenelle was experimenting with drugs and got caught up in illegal activities.
But it looks like Evans has put that all behind her and it is looking like she is responsible enough now to take care of Jace herself.
In a new clip MTV released, Jenelle and her mother Barbara talk about Jace's transition back to Jenelle:

"I don't think we have to go back to court, there's no sense of that. I can just sign off on it," Jenelle's mother explained of transferring guardianship back to Jenelle. "We can transition him over a year back to you."
Within the last few years, Jenelle has matured, as she welcomed her second child Kaiser into the world, is in a committed relationship with Nathan Griffith and is even going back to school to become a surgical assistant.
It seems this maturity is what made Barbara realize Jenelle was responsible enough now to take custody of Jace.
"The whole bottom line to this is Jenelle you are grown up," Barb said in the clip. "Finally, I can see it. We're going to work on this as a plan."
