NeNe Leakes Announces Exit From 'Real Housewives Of Atlanta'; Read The Star's Tweet

We knew this day was coming, but we just did not want to believe it.

It is a sad day for Real Housewives of Atlanta fans as NeNe Leakes has announced that she will be departing the series after being on it for the last seven years. The star is currently filming the seventh season of the popular series, but she hinted that it could possibly be her last.

The star took to her Twitter account to post a pretty cryptic message about moving on.

"Sometimes n life u have 2 just move on!" the star writes. "4 growth, 4 sanity, 4 healing! It's a sacrifice! Pray about it."

Leakes has been on the series since its debut seven years ago, but it seems like she is ready to call it quits. We have seen the housewife's journey through pretty much everything over the last couple seasons, be it hardships with her son, fighting with other cast members or marital issues with husband Greg.

But it does not look like fights with the other co-stars is what is causing Leakes to throw in the towel on the Bravo series. It seems she is too busy with other projects that she does not have enough time to focus on RHOA.

The star will not only be starring in the Broadway production of Cinderella in the coming months, but she will also be reprising her role on Glee. It was also reported yesterday that Leakes could be in the running to take over Joan Rivers's seat on Fashion Police when the show returns in January.

Not only does the reality star have plenty of TV opportunities, but she is also about to launch her own production company, NeNe Leakes Entertainment, which already has a few reality series in the works.

Whatever the star decides, we will definitely miss her on Real Housewives.
