The Daily Show with John Stewart has had a great track record for eyeing some A-List potential when it comes to their correspondents. Stephen Colbert and Steve Carell are just a couple that come to mind among the many. And now, The Hollywood Reporter notes that The Colbert Report host and former The Office star are getting together for a conversation onstage to support the Montclair Film Festival.
The two will reportedly meet for an "in-depth" conversation and also unveil a number of rarely seen highlights from their time working together at both The Daily Show and Chicago's Second City Improv Theater. They also worked with one another at The Dana Carvey Show before heading over to Comedy Central, which will undoubtedly be discussed as well.
Coined as A Conversation With Stephen Colbert and Steve Carell, this event will be the fourth annual fundraiser that Colbert is hosting, all to benefit the aforementioned film festival in the comedian's hometown of Montclair, New Jersey.
In previous years, Colbert has welcomed in the likes of Jimmy Fallon, Jon Stewart and Jonathan Alter for a conversation. While the talk will largely consist of their past work, we cannot help but hope there will be some talk of Colbert's upcoming CBS gig, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
A Conversation With Stephen Colbert and Steve Carell is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 21 at 8 p.m. at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark, NJ. Tickets go on sale this Friday, Oct. 3 at 10 a.m.
