Wild actress Reese Witherspoon is Vogue's October cover girl, a mother of three beautiful children and she just finished working on a comedy with Modern Family actress Sofia Vergara. Reese opened up about her costar and couldn't help but praise her during her Vogue interview.
Sofia and Reese will star in the upcoming film Don't Mess with Texas (set to hit theaters in May 2015) where Sofia plays the wife of a Mexican drug kingpin and Reese plays the cop that's handcuffed to her. During her Vogue cover shoot interview, the Legally Blonde actress gushed all about her comedy costar.
"Because her character's Colombian, and her teeth are expensive. She's like Sophia Loren. The studios should be falling over themselves to make movies for this woman," the 38-year-old actress told the publication about Sofia.
Reese developed Don't Mess with Texas independently with director Anne Fletcher and producing partner Bruna Papandrea by her side. The actress, who Sofia calls "my little pony," knew she wanted Sofia to work on the project early on.
"Witherspoon decided she wanted to make a comedy with Vergara and presented her with several ideas. After the Modern Family star chose this one, they commissioned a script, came up with a budget and a schedule, and then took it to the studios, who immediately started bidding," Vogue reported.
The "womance" began when the two shot their comedy together, with both actresses posting photos of them hanging out on set. "Happy Friday with @SofiaVergara. #worklife #happywifehappylife," Reese wrote with a picture of the two costars sitting in a truck together four months ago.
After the two wrapped filming together they still spent time together and alsways take a picture side-by-side. "Reunited with the most beautiful girl in the world!!!" Sofia wrote when she was reunited with her new BFF at the Stand Up to Cancer telethon earlier this month.
Sofia isn't the only Don't Mess with Texas star getting praise. Jeff Nichols, who directed Reese in Mud, opened up about the actress and how great she is on set.
"She makes you feel like you're speaking to someone you've known for a very long time," he told Vogue. "Not by having some sorority-sister Southern charm where she brings you cookies and makes you tea. But by saying that really smart thing at just the right time."
