Comedian Scott Aukerman's popular IFC series Comedy Bang! Bang! is coming back for it's third season! The premiere episode will air on Friday, Oct. 17 at 11 p.m.
Alongside his musical sidekick Reggie Watts, Aukerman will bring his unconventional take on scripted late night television to viewers and invite in a gaggle of celebrity friends to help him along the way.
Featuring the likes of Dane Cook, Kevin Smith, Anthony Jeselnik, Kevin Nealon, Tig Notaro, and more, Comedy Bang! Bang! season three could very well prove to be one of the most bizarre, yet hilarious seasons yet. Naturally, seasons 1 and 2 are hard to live up to, considering the immense amount of praise they've garnered, but our guess is season 3 will continue on the series' successful run.
Additionally, with the lengthy list of A-list comedians either sitting aside Aukerman or participating in the show in various roles, the CBB gang is bringing a number of rock stars and musicians to the IFC network as well, including Wayne Coyne from The Flaming Lips, Saturday Night Live digital shorts crew The Lonely Island, the very popular The National and even world-renowned comedian-musician 'Weird Al' Yankovic, who released his 14th studio album Mandatory Fun this past July.
