Carly Rae Jepsen has been keeping busy this summer - her hit track "Call me Maybe" has continued to dominate Billboard's Hot 100 list, she is set to join Justin Bieber's worldwide "Believe" tour, her new single featuring Owl City is currently climbing the charts, and she's had her fair share of nude photo rumors and scandals. It's about time for her to release her highly anticipated sophomore album.
Billboard reports that Jepsen has finally announced the release of "Kiss" through 604 Records/Schoolboy Records/Interscope on September 18. The release of the new album comes just eleven days before Jepsen begins her tour with Bieber in Arizona on September 29.
Jepsen's debut studio album was 2008's "Tug of War." She later released an extended play (EP) recording in February 2012, which including the megahit "Call me Maybe." The single, first made popular after the Biebs made a comment about digging the tune, has sold over 4.9 million downloads and is currently ranked as the third-highest selling song of the year. Jepsen released a new single featuring the electronic musician Owl City not too long ago entitled "Good Time" (video below),which climbed from the no. 23 to the no. 13 spot on Billboard's Hot 100 just last week.
Jepsen, 26, has been dropping hints about the album's name on Twitter all weekend. Check out the photo of Jepsen and her crew blowing kisses at the camera, with the pop star tweeting:
@carlyraejepsen: "Album is coming sooooon! Title is still a secret, but here's a hint."

For "Kiss," Jepsen worked with many artists including Max Martin, Dallas Austin, LMFAO's Redfoo, Toby Gad, Marianas Trench singer Josh Ramsay, Matthew Koma , and of course Owl City. Jepsen said about the album, "These are lyric and song ideas that I have been collecting over the years. The record is pop. It's inspired by Robyn, the Cars, Madonna, and believe it or not, James Taylor. I can't wait to share it with everyone!"
