Ariana Grande's diva antics and backstage demands have long been reported, but her rumored dislike for Mariah Carey is one thing she wanted dispel.
In an interview with US Weekly, Ariana only had good things to say Mariah who she considers one of her idols.
"Mariah has been a huge influence on me since I was a little girl," she said. "I've even done a cover of one of her songs."
The "Break Free" songstress goes on to say she's flattered by the comparisons.
"I don't think there are any negatives to being compared to one of the greatest vocalists of all time. It's honestly a great honor."
Rumors have been swirling that Ariana has banned interviewers from asking her any questions about Mariah.
In a recent segment on Access Hollywood Live, host Billy Bush relayed a story about one of Ariana's diva fits in front of him. While he was interviewing her, the topic of Mariah came up since the host was unaware of Ariana's demands. Once she heard Mariah's name mentioned she quickly stopped the interview and refused to answer.
Last month, the UK Daily Star reported the pop starlet was a total "nightmare" at the Los Angeles fundraiser for Stand Up To Cancer.
"At first, it was her warning the lighting crew if they used red spotlights she would go berserk. But then she kept everyone waiting while other stars came in and did their thing," a source said. "We've been on set with Lady Gaga, Madonna, and Mariah, but combined they aren't as rude as she was."
Organizers later released a statement defending Ariana saying she was very professional to work with.
Do you think Ariana is a diva or are her demands justified?
