CW's 'iZombie' Cast: Ryan Hansen Joins Rose McIver For Rob Thomas' 'Veronica Mars' Reunion!

With another new DC Comics TV show on the horizon, the CW has added a new cast member to executive producer Rob Thomas' upcoming zombie/comedy series, iZombie. Actor Ryan Hansen (Veronica Mars) joins the undead cast with leading lady Rose McIver (Once Upon A Time).

Based on the Vertigo Comics series from writer Chris Roberson and artist Mike Allred, iZombie centers on Gwen Dylan, a gravedigger by day and zombie private eye by night. In order to survive, Gwen has to feed on brains before her dead body starts to decompose. With her mind sharing someone else's thoughts and memories, the unlicensed private investigator has to fulfill the dead person's last request.

As reported here, there have been some changes made for the live-action adaptation. Gwen has now been renamed "Liv Moore" for the TV show. Our female lead now works in the city morgue, which happens to be a great place for dead bodies to keep popping up.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Hansen will play Carson McCone, a charming golden boy and pro snowboarder who is handsomely paid for his physical features. McCone is secretly having an affair with a marketing executive; from the same company that endorses him. We still have yet to find out how McCone will end up meeting Liv (Rose).

This marks another Veronica Mars reunion between Dickie Casablancas and the showrunner. The Friday the 13th actor even reunited with writer/director for the feature film version of the TV show.
