This week's episode of The Middle revolves around Sue and her ever-changing senior year. "The Loneliest Locker" reveals Sue's college dreams, Brick's missed childhood and Axl's next step in college.

The episode begins with Frankie wondering where are her spoons? Where are all of the towels? Why is everything disappearing? In walks Axl, with a pillowcase full of everything that has gone missing. What else does a college student do when moving into an unfurnished apartment... besides steal his parent's things? We love when Axl takes matters into his own hands.

As Axl searches the basement for more things to take for his new place, Brick discovers a bin full of all his old toys that his mom said were lost or broken over the years. Because Brick can never let anything go, he decides to play with all of the noisy toys to make up for lost time and annoy everyone in the process.

Just then, Sue walks in and announces that after taking her ACT tests again her scores are through the roof, which means she can go to almost any college that she wants. Even though Sue is excited about going to college, Mike and Frankie realize that they can't afford to pay for it.

Luckily, Mike and Frankie are amazing parents (even if it doesn't come off that way a lot of the times) and they promise not to shatter Sue's college dreams without trying to make extra money to support her first. This means more hours for Mike and a second job for Frankie, as a travel agent.

If that isn't enough Sue news, she is given the honor of writing a school play with Brad, which will make her college resume even better. The sad part... the play is horrible. Brad and Sue decide to fit any problem a high school student can possibly have into one play and it is a total train wreck, but of coarse they have no idea that it is bad.

The play is called "The loneliest locker" and it is about a girl named Savannah who doesn't fit in. In addition to a couple of monologues the duo sings, dances and pretend to be inside the main character's mind. It is horrible, but we couldn't help but love it.

When it comes down to Sue's big performance all she wants is for her whole family to be there. Unfortunately, Frankie has to work at her new job and she misses the whole thing. Brick, Mike and Axl are all in attendance, and Axl agrees to stay through the whole thing in order to earn back the couch cushions that his dad stole back from his apartment, which is hilarious.

The family comes home and Sue is pissed that her mom is missing her senior year. Frankie finally has a breakdown and tells her the truth. She was working overtime and took on this job to try and pay for college. Sue is touched but tells both her parents that she knows they cant afford college, but it is nice to dream about.

Frankie and Mike lay on their bed and agree right then that they will make it happen for Sue because she is their sweetest child and she deserves it. It is a really touching moment. We love seeing the Heck family come together yet again.
