Jessica Sanchez and DeAndre Brackensick Romance Surprised Fellow American Idol Phillip Phillips

It turns out that Jessica Sanchez and DeAndre Brackensick successfully kept their romance hidden even from their fellow American Idol tour mates until they publicly announced it on their Twitter.

American Idol Season 11 winner Phillip Phillips revealed on Ryan Seacrests radio show recently that it was a big surprise for everyone.   Philips admitted, "We were all kind of surprised."

Now that it's out in the open, how do the lovebirds behave behind the scenes of the tour?

"Hopefully, it keeps working out for them. They seem like they're in love whenever we're around them. They're just always holding hands or something. They seem like they love each other," he added.

Sanchez has a big year ahead of her with her first visit ever to her mother's homeland, the Philippines to end the Idol tour.  She also has a record deal with Interscope and will release her debut album later this year.

Phillips also hit a "Home" run with his first hit single.  With the big boost from the women's olympics feature, "Home" hit No. 1, knocking down Carly Rae Jepsen and Flo Rida down.

It seems like good things are happening for the top two American Idol Season 11 alums.
