Adam Lambert Goes Blonde on Twitter [PHOTO]

Channeling Miley Cyrus' recent switch to golden locks, American Idol finalist Adam Lambert dyed his typically dark tresses to platinum blonde earlier this week, debuting a photo of the new do' on his Twitter.

Pop star Miley Cyrus has gradually been dying her naturally dark mane lighter and lighter since sometime in May. Over this past weekend, she debuted a full-out platinum blonde transformation via Twitter, posting pics of her impromptu salon date with hairdresser-to-the-stars  Chris McMillan. The end result:

Now it looks like the "If I Had You" star joins the brunette-turned-bleached-blonde club.

Along with the photo posted on Tuesday of his new look, Lambert tweeted:

@adamlambert: "*New 'do."

When some fans started to question his decision as to why such a drastic change, Lambert posted:

@adamlambert: "You ask Why? Why not? ;) Change is good."

Lambert seems pretty jazzed about the new do', insinuating that the shockingly bright color will go well with the ensembles he has picked out for his upcoming tour of Japan. Lambart tweets:

After playing some successful shows opening for the rock band Queen, Adam Lambert has promised his fans a solo tour in support of his newest album "Trespassing." Fans (otherwise known as 'Glamberts') began trending the phrase 'We Want Trespassing Tour' on Twitter earlier this week. Lambert soon tweeted in response:

@adamlambert: "Have no fear, a Trespassing Tour WILL come. When the time is right. Trust me Glamberts! I won't let you down. :)"
