Based on the frightening 1979 sci-fi masterpiece, Alien, from director Ridley Scott, gamers are counting down to the release of the highly anticipated horror videogame, Alien: Isolation. Just before hitting stores, more trailers for the #HowWillYouSurvive viral campaign, such as 'Crowd Control,' 'Flared Up,' and 'Stomp' have been released.
As we've mentioned, Amanda Ripley searches throughout the darkest realms of outer-space for her missing mother, Ellen Ripley (actress Sigourney Weaver reprising her scream queen role). While searching for her mother's whereabouts, Amanda unfortunately uncovers the frightening truth behind Nostromo's dead crew members. Just like her mother, Amanda ends up having a close encounter with Nostromo's mass murderer.
We reported that the official Twitter account launched the hashtag, #HowWillYouSurvive, featuring Amanda trying to make it out alive, while the rest of her crew is being brutally slaughtered. Now a character from the horror flick makes an unexpected return to the franchise as well.
Check out Crowd Control here:
In the film, Ash (Played by Ian Holm), Nostromo's Science Officer turned out to be an android, ordered to bring in the alien specimen. In the James Cameron sequel, Lance Henriksen played the upgraded and loyal android, Bishop. Now these so-called "twitchy" androids are back in the videogame.
Check out Flared Up here:
Notice how these androids are bald and faceless, as if they are not supposed to resemble humans. Up close, their eyes are glowing red. Their programming must have gotten hacked into, because their orders are to kill Amanda.
Check out Stomp here:
Alien: Isolation will be heading off into stores on October 7. Readers, are you ready to take on the androids?
