Supermodel Cara Delevingne Introduces New "Super Comfy" Capsule Collection for DKNY

Supermodel Cara Delevingne recently announced her collaboration with DKNY. The new capsule collection is made up of 15 pieces and features many of the model's signature essentials — crop tops, athletic jumpsuits, comfy tees, and jackets. Among her favorites are an ultra-functional bra and a lined varsity jacket.

In an exclusive interview with E! News, Delevingne explains the line is "super comfy."

"I'm really passionate about what I do," she says. "I don't want to ever put my name on something I'm not 100 percent proud of and really involved in, as well.  It was just kind of incredible going through all of the colors and making sure the material is important because I am all about comfort. They're all very comfortable clothes. It's very much what I wear, and what I think my fans will wear because this is for my fans mainly."

In the collection's press release, the model said, "I first started to work with DKNY almost two years ago. They always encouraged my design input, my personal style and my ideas from the very beginning of our working relationship. Our creative synergy only grew with time and before you knew it we were exchanging ideas for a jumpsuit. It was an organic process and it made sense. There are 15 pieces to play with — no rules, no 'looks,' just opportunities. DKNY is urban and edgy but most of all, it's individual! They truly embrace the weirdness in all of us, so you can really be yourself."

Like many other designers, Cara decided she wanted to select the models for her DKNY line via Instagram. Seems like this is the new trend in the fashion world. The #CaraWantsYou campaign resulted in eight "Cara-approved" winners making the final cut.

The capsule collection launches on October 15 at DKNY Stores, DKNY.com, and many other retailers.
