The Real Housewives of Orange County star Vicki Gunvalson is speaking out today in the wake of learning that her on-again, off-again boyfriend Brook Ayers has been diagnosed with stage three non-Hodgkins lymphoma. The couple may have had their fights and feuds on-screen and off-screen of the hit Bravo series, but today Gunvalson is in full supportive of Ayers.
"I am very sad about the recent diagnosis of Brooks' cancer reoccurrence," the star told People magazine. "It really put life in perspective and makes you realize how important health, family and friends are during this time. Thank you for respecting his privacy and for all your thoughts and prayers for Brooks during this time."
We previously reported that Brooks was battling cancer after being diagnosed with it in 2013.
"Life is funny sometimes. Sometimes it is not," the reality star explained to RadarOnline. "My reality is that I have, once again, been diagnosed with a form of Non-Hodgkin lymphoma specifically diffuse large B cell lymphoma."
"I appreciate the prayers, support, and positive vibes from anyone who would wish to send them," Brooks continued. "Let me assure you that I am going to remain positive and continue to battle this disease vigorously with much tenacity along with seeking the appropriate medical care."
He ends by saying, "Please respect my family's privacy in this matter as we walk through this challenging time."
Despite the fact that videotapes of Ayers revealing that he had cheated on the RHOC star, went viral earlier this month, Vicki seems very supportive of her friend during this difficult time.
Our thoughts go out to both Vicki and Brooks during this time.
