Halloween Movie Mashup Rumor: 'Annabelle' & Chucky In Scary Doll Thriller? 'Child's Play' Creator Wants 'The Conjuring' Crossover!

This past weekend saw the premiere of the highly anticipated horror movie, Annabelle, which is a spinoff of The Conjuring. A terrifying movie about a possessed doll terrorizing a family, one can't help but think of Chucky from the Child's Play franchise. Don Mancini, who created the devilish murdering machine, this week praised Annabelle, mentioning that mixing the two murderous dolls into one movie could be a fun idea!

Speaking with USA Today about the upcoming seventh Child's Play movie that Mancini is currently writing, the horror film creator talked about the two dolls joining forces in some way.

"I am hoping that at some future point we have Annabelle and Chucky team up. I can see that (even) in 20 years from now," he told USA Today. "We would be into it, the only problem is that we are in different studios. That would probably be years worth of red tape to work it out. But if it all could be worked out, then yes, we're very into it."

Meanwhile, the two franchises have a great connection: Annabelle director John Leonetti worked on 1991's Child's Play 3 as director of photography!

He added: "The bride of Chucky is going to be very upset if Chucky starts to stray. If I were Annabelle, I'd be watching my back."
