Ubisoft's upcoming car-racing video game, The Crew, just had its release date pushed back to December 2014. This is yet another title to be pushed back a few months, so we're not too surprised. Also, the developer's reasoning for the delay isn't surprising either; a new closed console Beta will take place in November to work out any and all bugs. At least that's the plan!
The Crew's original release date was before March of 2014, but many delays have been put upon the title. This is hopefully the last release day push, but we'll know after the November Beta testing for consoles.
"Our philosophy remains to deliver the best game possible," Ubisoft creative director Julian Gerighty said in a statement this week. "We're all committed to delivering a revolutionary experience in the driving genre and we can't wait for The Crew to be in the hands of the players."
You can check out the latest updates from the last Beta testing right HERE! Though the list seemed pretty great, there were still many bugs to work out. Thus the release date push.
For now, gamers hoping to play the game as soon as possible should head over to the official website of the game and register. Choose which platform you'd like to play the Beta on, and then just wait! In a number of days you will get a download code for The Crew and you'll be able to help work out the bugs!
