It's been a while since they've had the opportunity, but the Kansas City Royals sure know how to party! The players celebrated their best-of-five sweep of the Los Angeles Angels in the American League Divisional Series with an epic outing on Sunday night.
Following the Royals' 8-3 whopping of the Angels, first baseman Eric Hosmer tweeted out an invitation to his followers to join him and several teammates at McFadden's, a sports bar in KC's Power & Light District, as a thank you to fans for their continued support of the team.

The fans turned out in droves.

The players popped bottles of champagne - a few of which they sprayed on the crowd - and spent the evening posing with fans for photos.
Got to McFadden's right when the Royals did and got ushered into their VIP section by accident. So, this happened pic.twitter.com/YvXqw9cf4D — nick wright (@getnickwright) October 6, 2014
According to TMZ, Hosmer handed over his own personal credit card and opened up the bar to all in attendance for a full hour. The GM of McFadden's told the gossip news site that the final bill came out to more than $20,000.
Next up for the Royals, they'll head to Baltimore to take on the Orioles at Camden Yards in the ALDS. Game 1 is set for Friday.
