Bored To Death could be coming back, but this time instead of it showing up on HBO for a new season of hilarious episodes, it might be hitting the big screen! In a recent interview, star Jason Schwartzman revealed that a movie is in the works and that the series creator Jonathan Ames is writing it. Unfortunately, Ames is pretty in-demand these days, so he's busy with another project. We have more details of the Bored to Death movie and Jonathan Ames' other project below!
"Jonathan Ames is writing the script, but he's also doing another show right now with Seth MacFarlane," Jason told Cinema Blend. "Yeah, they're doing a show, and they're shooting it in LA. ... I don't know what's happening, because I think everything is sort of on hold right now."
Schwartzman added: "I've read scripts and it's hard because ... I think it was such a downer (that the show was cancelled.) HBO was the best and I would totally work with them again, if they would have me. It's not like I feel angry, but it was sad to lose the show, because I miss those guys and seeing them everyday was the best. We had the best crew. But also it was hard because we knew what season 4 was. Like it was all done. It was all figured out."

The show that Ames and MacFarlane are working on is called Blunt Talk and stars Patrick Stewart. Though that should be enough information, here is the official synopsis of the new series (via Cinema Blend):
Who is Walter Blunt? He's a British news anchor who moves to the United States with a firm plan on taking over American cable news, offering this country's citizens guidance on how to live, think and behave. But in order to do that, he has to balance the day to day stresses of network heads, a mishandled staff, ex-wives, offspring of all ages, and a dependence on the bottle. As you can imagine, his decision-making skills aren't always the most conducive to his own happiness, and the only person he can turn to is his alcoholic manservant he brought from England to L.A.
