Former NFL running back Larry Johnson was arrested in Miami Beach, Florida, early Tuesday (Oct. 7) morning in an alleged nightclub brawl.

According to TMZ, Johnson reportedly punched the alleged victim in the face, knocking him to the ground. Then, the victim says, Johnson "broke a bottle on the table and began swinging it toward him."

A copy of the arrest report has been made available to the public by Miami's Local 10 news station. The report states that the incident began inside the nightclub at the Delano Hotel when Larry Johnson and Drew Johnson "physically bumped into each other."

"[Drew] thought that since they were known to each other, it was not going to be an issue," the report states. "The victim stated that he tried to smooth over the incident, and believing that he had done so, went about his business."

This, apparently, is when Larry punched Drew on the right side of the face, knocked him to the ground, swung a broken glass bottle at him and punched him several more times. Security guards at the club broke up the scuffle and escorted both men out of the building. Once outside, Drew called the Miami Beach Police Department.

"The victim had cuts on his right hand and the inside of his left forearm," the report states. "The victim stated that the attack was unprovoked."

Witnesses on the scene confirmed Drew's account of the incident. Larry was ultimately arrested on charges of aggravated battery.

Johnson played football for the Miami Dolphins back in 2011 but spent the majority of his career with the Kansas City Chiefs from 2003-09. He was drafted in the first round with the 27th pick of the 2003 NFL Draft and averaged 4.4 yards rushing and 8.9 yard receiving in his career.
