Looks like the refs in last night's Monday Night Football game featuring the Seattle Seahawks and the Washington Redskins gave fantasy football owners everywhere a severe case of the Mondays when they were forced to call back three Percry Harvin touchdowns due to penalties.
Two of the three penalties were called on the wide receiver's teammate, James Carpenter.
"The first one, I was cool, I was like, 'OK.' And when the second one happened, I was like, 'Wow.' And then when the third one happened, I just flipped my hands down, I couldn't believe it," Harvin told reporters, according to NFL.com writer Conor Orr. "But at the same time, penalties are part of football. We would definitely like to have them back. Today, the penalties kind of got the best of us."
Harvin and the Seahawks still managed to pull out a 27-17 win over the Redskins, despite the potential 21-point swing. So in that regard, the calls didn't have too much of an impact on the night. But for fantasy football owners? That's another story.
The best part of this game is watching all my Fantasy points for Percy Harvin appear and then disappear... #SEAvsWAS

My 6th grade son will not go to bed because his fantasy wr Percy Harvin has had 3 td's called back..needless to say he's not a happy camper! — Shawn Dailey (@Shawndo45) October 7, 2014
Harvin was able to let it go in the end, though he – and everyone else – did go to bed just as bewildered.
"I couldn't believe it," Harvin told reporters. "Everybody on the sideline was saying they've never seen that happen. We just had so many penalties tonight for whatever reason. We have to clean that up."
