Ellen DeGeneres sure is on a role breaking celebrity news and creating headlines this year on her Talk Show! Recently, everyone's favorite former-bad-boy, Robert Downey Jr., somewhat revealed that Iron Man 4 is now in the middle of negotiations, according to the star himself.
"I know there's going to be a bunch more Marvel movies and they have big ideas of how to do it best. You know we're in the middle of negotiations..." the 49-year-old actor told Ellen.
As the talk show host pried into the details a bit further, he confirmed!
After tons of teasing regarding a fourth installment to Marvel comics of the blockbuster hit, the studio and Downey did a terrific job creating buzz around if the film would ever see it's fourth production.
Downey even joked to reporters last week that he would do the film if it was directed by his pal Mel Gibson!
As we reported recently Downey told Deadline of this far left idea, "But honestly we are talking about a competitive business and it all comes down to this: Because he is so gifted as a storyteller and a director, I don't know that he requires some sort of mass forgiveness," RDJ explained.
The storyline of the latest Iron Man Installment, Iron Man 3, found Tony Stark's world torn apart by terrorist Mandarin... now he starts on a trek of reconstruction and vengeance.
Downey's contract ended with the Iron Man 3 film, therefore, we assume the negotiations are of his salary and promotional duties.
Hey, if Mel Gibson is along for the ride with this installment, all the better!
