Not long ago the England cricket team was by far the best in the world, however, it soon fell apart, and nothing was left but memories. Former international star Kevin Pietersen has hit out at former teammate Graeme Swann and former coach Andy Flower. He insisted that he told the coach about and tried to address the camp's issues, but he's suggested little was done to fix the problems.
Pietersen insisted: "It happened. Everything that's in this book, I can stand by 100%/ Andy knows about it. I kept saying it to him day in, day out. They have, they made a complaint to the coach and the captain and they talked to the team about it before a one-day international in Bangalore. But Swann and Broad disagreed with the captain and said: 'No, we demand an apology, we deserve an apology."
He continued: "There are players who are introverted in the dressing-room, batsmen who won't talk about it, but when they've finished they will."
Pietersen has the attention of the world for many reasons. One, he was one of the best players to ever play the game. Two, he has always brought controversy wherever he's gone, and it seems he's not done digging up dirt on his former teammates. He has an autobiography coming out, and the book is set to rock the cricket world, revealing 'everything', and changing the game of cricket as we know it.
Is Pietersen right to address these problems to boost his autobiography sales, or is that just part of the package? Can bullying in sports be dealt with?
