Mission: Impossible 5 is already filming with star Tom Cruise and Jack Reacher director Christopher McQuarrie, but this week we saw some brand new casting news that adds a great new level of mystery to the Ghost Protocol follow up.  Chinese actress Zhang Jingchu has signed on for an important role in the film, though details on her character are scarce at this time.

According to Variety, no details about the role have been revealed because it is "integral to a major plot twist." Considering not much is known about the upcoming project, we can't make any speculation at this time.

You might know Zhang from her role in Rush Hour 3, but her filmography over in China is much more lengthy and impressive. She has been in acclaimed films such as Aftershock, Peacock, Night and Fog, Overheard, 7 Swords and Beast Stalker to name a few.

Zhang has been spotted in London, where Cruise and company have been filming, but even fans spotting her shopping off of the movie set could get any information about her role out of her.

Simon Pegg, Jeremy Renner, Ving Rhames, Paula Patton, and Rebecca Ferguson are also in this movie, with Alec Baldwin and Sean Harris reportedly in talks to join the project.
