On a bright and sunny day, two kangaroos were caught on camera engaging in a wild street fight. In this quite residential neighborhood in Australia, these plant-eating marsupials end up becoming viral sensations after pummeling each other with their fists.
YouTube subscriber, BestofBest, uploaded the kangaroo boxing match for all to see. In the caption, the two male kangaroos are fighting in a residential area down on the NSW Central Coast. The surreal video catches the animals kicking and punching each other, with music of Tchaikovsky playing in the background.
When The Daily Beast caught sight of the video, they were at first assuming the home video footage was fake. These belligerent marsupials are engaged in a violent scuffle to assert their dominance. Supposedly, this is most common during their mating season.
Notice how the kangaroo just stands on its tail, then pummels his opponent with his huge feet. With their heads tilted back, the fists keep flying back and forth. Because the street is empty, there isn't a single person there to play referee during the boxing match.
According to Click2Houston, animal experts state that such aggressive behavior usually occurs among males. Juts like humans, these two male aggressors are either fighting over a female, or possibly acting in self-defense. Maybe they just wanted to start their own Fight Club, beat each other up, and destroy something beautiful, like in the David Fincher movie.
