Jessica Simpson's Dad Busted with DUI

While pop star Jessica Simpson has been celebrating the birth of her first daughter and inspired by her "diet journey" to lose all the baby weight with Weight Watchers, looks like her father/manager Joe has also been celebrating in his own special way.

According to reports, Joe Simpson was arrested over the weekend in Los Angeles and charged with drinking while under the influence of alcohol. TMZ reports that around 10 p.m. Saturday evening (Aug. 4) Simpson was pulled over in Sherman Oaks by cops who ultimately suspected the former 54-year-old minister of being drunk.

Simpson was then cuffed and taken to jail, where he was released the following morning without having to post bail.

TMZ claims that although no charged have been filed, the famous father of the pop star sisters Jessica and Ashlee will most likely face a hefty fine.

Given Jessica's $4 million deal with Weight Watchers, looks like Joe will have no problem borrowing some cash if need be.
