'Hollywood Divas' Paula Jai Parker Explains Being Poor And 'Blacklisted' By Hollywood [VIDEO]

"Hollywood Divas" reality star, Paula Jai Parker shocked fans when she revealed that she and her family lived in a hotel after she lost her home. The former "Hustle and Flow" star admitted that she was "poor" and was blacklisted when she began dating her husband after dumping a very famous exec.

In an interview with RolingOut.com Parker said that she wants fans to know her struggle, "I look at this show as my testimony," she said. "I was tried by fire and I literally have the scar to show it. I got burned heating one of my son's bottles while I was unemployed and couldn't find a job. It bubbled and it healed -as my career began to heal. My heart began to heal."

After shedding tears in the premiere episode, Parker revealed she lost friends and after 20-years in the industry she had reached the ultimate bottom in her career, "I had to open up and be vulnerable because that's the only way I was going to be able to tell my truth." She added, "I'm inspiring young women to keep moving and not give up on your dream or on yourself."
