It's finally that time of year - hockey season!
The St. Louis Blues battle it out on the ice against the New York Rangers in Game 1 of each team series on Thursday, October 9 at 8:00 p.m. EST at Missouri's Scottrade Center. Read on to see where fans can watch and listen to a live stream of the "Opening Week" hockey game online and catch up-to-date feeds and coverage on highlight plays and scores.
Heading into the 2014 regular season, the Blues snag the No. 4 spot in ESPN.com's official NHL power rankings:
"Deeper down the middle and with youngsters Jaden Schwartz and Vladimir Tarasenko ready to take a bigger bite of the offense, the Blues will be in the hunt for the Central Division crown and more. Can the goaltending tandem of Brian Elliott and Jake Allen hold down the fort?"
Meanwhile, the Rangers currently hold the No. 12 spot (out of 30 total teams):
"The Stanley Cup finalists seem bound for a step back after losing quality pieces like Anton Stralman, Brian Boyle and Brad Richards. The loss of Derek Stepan to a broken leg is a big blow. And the fact that Marc Staal starts the season without a contract extension in place is likewise problematic."
The game will be broadcasted live on local channels MSG and FSMW, but fans can also listen in on the radio at KMOX, KTUI-FM, and ESPN NY.
