Muse posted an interesting photo with men dressed and painted in gold in the background - giving another proof that they are indeed confirmed as one of the special acts in the 2012 Olympics Closing Ceremony on August 12.

Matt Bellamy of Muse is holding up an electric guitar in the photo leading the army of golden drummers, it appears.

Along with the photo, Muse posted the caption, "Warming up…"

Their song "Survival" has been the official theme song of the London Olympics and it's not surprising that they have been chosen to perform it live this coming Sunday in London.

Dom Howard, drummer for the band, commented before on their Olympics participation, "I'm happy with the song. It's a proper Muse song. It's not something we did for the Olympics."

"They sowed a seed by asking us to do some music but then five months went by. We showed them a few songs when they asked us about [playing the] closing ceremony and they loved it."

Others expected to play at the Closing Ceremony include Ed Sheeran and George Michael. Other popular British pop acts that have been rumored to perform have yet to be confirmed officially.
