Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice has a lot of people in her corner after being sentenced to prison after pleading guilty to charges of bankruptcy and mail fraud. One of those is close friend Kim DePaola aka Kim D., who is frequently seen by Teresa's side on the show.
As many viewers of RHONJ know, Kim D. has been a loyal friend to the reality star even teaming up with her to try and take down Teresa's sister-in-law Melissa Gorga. According to Radar Online, Kim went on The Derek Z Show to talk about her friend's prison sentence.
"There are things that we've discussed that only I could be privy to, as girlfriends, that I don't want to reveal," she said.
Even though Kim doesn't discuss what she and Teresa talk about, she did give a warning to all women whose husbands run their finances.
"I say this to women all the time because [the things] I see, the things that I hear, the stories that I hear from women — you cannot just sign tax returns!" she stated. "And read your papers, and if your husband doesn't like it, or your significant other doesn't like, it's tough!
"Because this is a case where something like this happens, and look what happens," she continued. "You have got to know what you're signing — you can't blindly trust a man!"
Kim stopped short of totally blaming Teresa's husband Joe Giudice, but she said he hasn't been the same since his father died. Even so, she knows he will step up to the plate when Teresa reports to prison on January 5.
"Joe's strong, Teresa's stronger — women are always stronger, that's my opinion — if his father was here, things would be different, his father was his rock," she said. "But Joe loves his kids. He's gonna be there for his kids, he's gonna be strong for his kids — even when he's weak, I don't think he's gonna show that to his children."
