The Season 3 premiere of Arrow, entitled "The Calm," contained Oliver (Stephen Amell) and Felicity's (Emily Bett Rickards) first date, but things quickly unraveled when Oliver realized that he could not be both Oliver Queen and The Arrow at the same time. He tried to keep his relationship with Felicity on hold, but she told him clearly that he cannot dangle the word maybe in front of her forever.
But is this the end for Olicity? The "Spoiler Room" column at EW.com has some information that could calm down fans of the relationship.
"Executive producer Marc Guggenheim stresses that you should look at that first kiss-turned break up scene at the hospital as the first of a two-parter, which will continue in episode 2. 'This is not the last time we'll hear the words 'I love you' in connection with Oliver and Felicity,' he says. 'The repercussions of that scene and that storyline in episode one, that's going to follow them over the course of season 3. It's not over. We didn't just hit pause or reset on their relationship. This is just a development in an ongoing relationship for them.'"
We also know from actors' and producers' comments prior to Season 3 that Ray Palmer (Brandon Routh) will make a play for Felicity, though it's unclear where that relationship could go. We also get the sense that this could stir some feelings in Oliver, which would likely affect his relationship with Felicity.
